NEN & EDC

NEN -This is a complete entrepreneurship program with hands-on experience and projects assignment in association with NEN & EDC.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) was started to promote specialized knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship development. The cell is not a profit initiative; in fact, it is voluntarily run by students. Given the worldwide shortage of jobs (both government and private sectors) leading to unemployment problems and lack of proper utilization of human resources; the cell strives to identify talented youth and empower them with entrepreneurial expertise and skills through various programs and activities.

Major objectives:

To create awareness about entrepreneurship as a career option amongst our students
To conduct orientation programmes for students and the public and encourage them to establish their enterprises
To enhance industry-institute interaction through guest lectures and industry visits
To organise training programmes on establishing and managing industrial units
To organise programmes for women for acquiring special skills, so that they can work and earn from home
To organise workshops by inviting successful entrepreneurs
To assist budding entrepreneurs in getting bank loans, selection of staff and workers and dealing with day-to-day business problems

Activities of EDC :

To organize entrepreneurship awareness camps for science and tech students.
To provide training & retraining of entrepreneurs through variety of programmes
To conduct ED programs for students and faculty members.
To arrange lectures of distinguished persons from the industry.
To organize meetings of funding agencies for students and faculty.
To arrange industrial visits.
To help the students in writing the project proposals and project reports.
