Outbound training programs:

Outbound Training (OBT) is most important in the periphery of management domain.

Currently the management education is on the threshold of a new orientation, education envisages a multi-dimensional stride to unleash the potentials of a management student and adopt training methods to improve student’s management skills to inculcate Leadership skills, decision making skills, disaster management etc.

Inbasket Exercise and Role Play:

Students are assigned certain roles in a given situation and they have to respond according to their characters. The process is usually repeated to make the students understand the various alternative actions and their repercussions which help them to develop the skills to handle stress and to be an effective team player.

Business Quiz/Exercises:

Periodic assessment of the learning is done through quiz and exercises, which can be oral, MCQ or short answer type.


Practical & Global Exposure:

Students are given tasks to visit market place, certain organizations and analyze the global market to understanding customers buying behaviour, analyzing financial performance of a company, finding out the best HR practices, understanding the logistic processes in a firm, etc the complete processes of an organization. These are then written down in the form of a project report and submitted for evaluation to the faculty supervisors.

Grooming and Communication (C2C):

College to corporate program is another important program in which a dedicated faculty will be engaging the student to improve their communication and ensure they are well groomed to be job ready. The faculty might ask the students to speak on the topic of the student’s choice in the class which helps to build self confidence and develop ability to face the audience.

Industrial Visits:

Industrial visits are important to provide an exposure to students about practical working environment. They also provide students a good opportunity to gain full awareness about industrial practices and processes. The college provides an opportunity to the management students to visit the reputed industries to gain such experiential learning.

Value added Programs

GIBS Business School has always ensured that its students stay abreast of the latest industry standards. In this regards the college has introduced value added programs in the course structure. The purpose is to impart professional knowledge with relevant certifications to increase their employability as per the industry expectations.

Group Discussions:

Group discussions or brainstorming is done by giving a certain problem to the group of students and asking them to find a feasible solution. It helps in building teamwork, idea sharing and a creative approach among the students.

Research papers/Article critical review:

The students individually or in groups are asked to write the research paper under supervision of faculty. They are also supposed to write their critical review on published articles, related to the course topics.

Movies/Videos/Video clips:

Faculty utilizes video clippings to explain the management concepts as well as pros & cons of strategic decisions taken subject wise.
